Who has their dedicated autoX tires balanced when they get new tires? Im sure it makes a differnece, but is it a noticble differnece at autoX speeds?

Who has the balanceing done for track tires?

I get my autocross tires balanced, but I admit, I think I do this out of habit. I have no idea if an out of balance wheel can be felt at autocross speeds, so I'm interested to see what others have to say.

Regarding balancing wheels for track use, yes, I definitely do that. Having had a wheel weight come off once before, I know how annoying an out of balance wheel can be at track speeds. I always have mine balanced.

Thanks, for the feedback. I just had mine mounted and balanced (habit here aswell) but, I could have saved myself about 40 bucks if I would have just mounted them and not worried about the balancing.

I do not currently have my autocross tires balanced. It hasn't made any difference that I can tell.

I would probably get them balanced for track though.

You have Azenis, right? I'll bet that at least one of your wheels has at least three ounces of weight on it, if not four.

the other consideration is that if you are on street tires, you are probably driving to the event with those tires on. I wouldn't bother to be cheap and just get them balanced.

That's a good point. Definitely get tires you drive around on balanced. If you change them at the event like I do, it's less important.

Michael, you probably just saved me a bunch of money, I was hoping you'd say what you did.
