I see your dilemna Jason. All the BBKs for my car have ridiculously priced rotor assemblies. Same thing. 2 piece with rings going for $300. The really sad part is on track they crack just like the cheap NAPA blanks I buy. Stoptech, Brembo, Wilwood, PFC. Big names and big $$$ but their rotors don't last long. Great bling for the street though if you get them drilled and slotted

It used to cost me $26/ea for NAPA blanks for the Z06 fronts. Since they closed the foundry in IL and Canada. Now they are all made in China. Costs me double. Must be the shipping... Uggghhhh....

yes indeed, i'm just coming off a four day mid-ohio trip. the morning of day #3 i'm inspecting my brakes and the front rotors show more surface cracking than i was comfortable with so i swapped them out and put on the street rotors that were mated with hp+ pads. but i foolishly kept the ht10 pads which didn't get along with the hp+ rotor film and i wound up with pretty bad shudder when hot. tried pushing thru it to no avail, it just got worse. in hindsight i should have run the hp+ pads since mid-ohio is pretty easy on brakes but such is life, and a lesson learned.
having said that, those front rotors had a lot of track miles on them, it's not like they started cracking after two sessions. i'm not unhappy with their performance, just the price.
