I'm not sure how reliable this info is, but the guy at Discount Tire told me that they are trying to phase these tires out (yes, the star specs, not just the Z1). Anyone else heard this?

I'm not sure DT's computer tells of THEIR stocking status, or the manufacturer's. Half way through last year I got a similar story on Hankook RS2's from DT (not Jeb's, though), which are still readily available in lots of sizes at TireRack and EdgeRacing.

Not sure, they had to get two tires from Texas and two tires from Arizona for me though. Its clearly not something thats all that easy to get for them.

Hankook has already announced the RS-3 as a replacement for the RS-2.

I didn't think Dunlop had anything new in the pipeline.

Probably just a back order situation. If there is serious interest, I can call Goodyear direct. Often times the primary warehouses run out and the manufacturer sends them direct. Sounds like this may be the case. I ordered a set for the Miata at the end of the year (gratis FTW) and they came to me from TN.
