Wondering if anyone has ever had a set, and if so, what did you do to keep them nice? They're not clear coated or anything - just bare, mirror polished aluminum. I've coated them with some wheel wax that has teflon impregnated in it already, and I'm hoping that will help. But if anyone has other suggestions for maintaining such wheels, I'm all ears.

A lot of my customers use the Mother's Powerball system and seem to like the results.

Karl - FYI, the super-shiny lipped Blitz Type 03s I had on my MR2 never needed polishing, they stayed looking bright as new with just regular hand washing w/car wash (whenever I washed the rest of my car). I figured as long as they stayed looking nice, no reason to screw with them, as I'd probably end up doing more harm than good. I did use a separate, clean sponge for washing the wheels only, and I'd replace it with a new one whenever it began looking dirty.

Also, the MR2 wasn't my main car, so I never drove it in wintry weather conditions, where damage to the finish would be more likely.

Thanks Keith, that's encouraging. I take it those Blitz wheels were not clearcoated (at least, the lips weren't)?

Karl,

I think this stuff is popular with the Street Rod crowd. Some friends had a Vette with Fikse wheels on it and liked this stuff as well.

Correct, they are not clearcoated, at least not the lips.
