If I get my car teched this weekend do I have to have a mechanic fill out and sign a form to run at VIR in 2 weeks?

Does anyone have the address for the former "Hubcap Heaven"

I'm getting VERY excited about my first track event and want to make sure my mess is correct.

Thank you
Jake

Do I have to buy a SCCA Log Book before the event?

Dunno. It might be good to have one.

No, we are not the SCCA.

If you go to the tech day saturday, if you pass, you will get a tech sticker good for the entire 08 season. That's all you should need except there is a "day of event" tech done by you and your instructor that is the basic "Check your Lugnuts" stuff.

This is not a dumb question. A log book is strictly for a race car. The sanctioning body will issue the car a log book after completing their tech process. That log book lives and dies with the car.

Do get a driver's log book. THSCC has them available. This is the journal the instructor will update after each event. Even when you solo, it is a good idea to update it yourself with the event and any notes.

It comes in really handy if you run with another group and they want your history.
