When I was a kid (back when the earth was still flat and plastic bottles were still a dream of the future), we used the aluminu foil and Drano mix to fill baloons. We then held the baloons over a match and watched the big ball of fire.
The Drano reaction is exothermic (generates a lot of heat) so use caution. Also, the Drano is very caustic (will eat your skin) so stand WAAAAY back. This level of danger is really best left to children who are, as we all know, still imortal. Adults, knowing the risks and danger, will most certainly become injured so that other adults can say: "I told you that was a dumb idea."

It was just in the news that some kid got arrested for an explosive device at school. Turns out it was the draino and aluminium foil thing. Oh, times used to be so simple.

Yes we have a High School in Pitt County name South Central. Its neither really South nor Central. They let the kids name it.
