Do you know Ryan's history with cars? You might want to work out how much your car is worth first... maybe even get a down payment before offering that ride.

Clearly I have no idea, so feel free to enlighten me.

Its not that bad!!!

History:

1- 97 Cavalier Z24, I never broke it but I did break the transmission in Vincent's Z24 at L'burg.

2- 91 Eagle Talon AWD, this shouldn't even count, its a freakin' DSM they are supposed to break. I honestly think the stock turbo was the only thing I broke, well if you don't count rear ending Kevin Butler.

3- 88 CRX Si, this was the evil child. I rebuilt the motor myself and it was the best damn 1,200 miles I ever had. Blew it up in Fishhook at VIR-S, never turn the crank on a Honda no matter what your machine shop guy says.

4- 91 Miata, this was the good child. Blew up the diff in Sanford, broke the Header in Half at VIR (what a loud 3hr ride home), broke throttle body #1 at VIR, broke throttle body #2 at CMP, motor go boom.

I am zeroing in on a new sled, a dark horse has reared it head and its not a BMW, 240 or a swapped Civic.

Eh? You think using a double negative gets you off the hook? You broke it...

Ok, we'll give you that one. Apparently those and Celica AllTrac were built for the same reason. To make man suffer...

What does this have to do with breaking cars? Does Vincent know about this? You tramp!!!

Normal people would see this as a pattern or at least a hint...

5x114 :(

There should be a law saying that there can be only 1 bolt pattern per # of lugs.

Here is one I found last night in VA

http://www.vadriven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202215

What's up with the funky headliner? Is that stock?

Thanks for the info Mike.

How can you pass up a car with the glowing endorsement "that car right by my crib" It's a no brainer to me!

come on, Ryan. Man up and get a 944. I think I demonstrated to everyone that they don't even need race tires. You can drive straight into the bushes in laurinburg on 215 yokos. I've ridden with halweg a bunch and the 240 and the 944 feel pretty similar as far as when and how they start to break loose. Except he has way better pax.

Hope you don't like Street Touring, though, since no Porsches are eligible! it's either Stock or straight to SP

The 944 turbo seems like a decent deal from his description and list of recently replaced parts versus his asking price. Just the parts prices alone for all that stuff probably adds up to 50% of his asking price.

The 924S would be a good ES car, and this one "sounds" like a nice one.

Just assume that in the ensuing 5 years of ownership that you'll need to spend the price you paid again in upkeep, and the Porsche deals won't surprise you.
