not all that relevant of a data point for you, but a data point nonetheless, I ran H&R "race" springs on my integra, and found that the spring rates were just absurdly high, and the drop was so far that I had almost no suspension travel whatsoever.

Yup. I did non-adjustable non-factory springs ONCE and will never bother again. H&R sports on a 95 325i. Handling was nice until the car hit the bumpstops. Too low for the lack of stiffness.

Coilovers are the only way to go. All the aftermarket non-adjustable springs are a compromise. A compromise, in my opinion, which is worse than the stock springs.

Stick with stock springs unless you have a really, really compelling reason to switch. Then pick your rates and go GC.

IMO :)

doesn't sound like you are looking in the useful forums over there Chris. try the autoX/track forums. less waxers, more competitors. they are rather blunt with the responses sometimes however.
