for a totally stock 305...
For CMC you need numbers from water temps of 185, 195 and 205 degrees.
So the "corrected" numbers are:
185: 231 HP /291 Torque
195: 231 /288
205: 225 /278
The HP number was up slightly, but the torque was down by about 4%. This could be due to a couple of factors:
I opened up the exhaust with a 3" dump. Sounds awesome for a stock 305. But might be too much. During the off season, I might replace it with 2.5".
The other factor is what appears to be a ignition leak. We could not get a reading from the spark plug wires! Had to connect to the coil wire. Jeff and I think that the spark plug wires are toast (they are 8mm Accels about 18 months old). That could explain why the car felt a little off at Roebling and VIR.
So new plugs and wires are going to be on order today.
