That's more or less what I did (no insert in my box on how to bed them in and I don't recall seeing anything on the box about that). That is pretty standard bedding procedure. They _seemed_ to be bedded in and stopped the car on the street around town and up to the track (towing the track trailer).

I guess they behave differently at higher temperatures? I'd have to dig around some more to see what others may have experienced when using them on track.

I'd say you are probably fine with that procedure and you probably won't experience the pad deposition that I'm experiencing.
