A Vega shooting brake? (pukes in mouth a little bit) Go for the LTD Country Squire instead, it had an eight banger.

Marcus,

Take a look at these guys before you go spending $500-$700 for rotors.

http://www.wholesaledirectparts.com/

They do have rotors for most cars and are pushing Axxis pads big time!

Right now they have a GP going on for the C5 owners that is just ridiculous. And they will give us a 1 year warranty on the rotors even if we track the cars...

They're not the fastest on delivery so don't expect them in 3 days, more like 2 weeks. But that is because they are selling so much they can't keep up....

Graham

Whoa. Thanks Graham. Those are some good prices.

Also they show rear discs for a Cavalier. No Cavalier was ever made with 4-wheel disc brakes. :?

Wow, that's an unbelievable deal on the STi rotors, hard to believe they can be that much cheaper than any other source.

Anyone out there we know ever used their rotors? If so, any reports on the quality of their rotors compared to OEM?

Marcus, Chris,

No problem guys. Just don't hold your breath expecting rotors quickly at the moment. With the C5 Group Purchase they have going on they have a few hundred orders for sets. Apparently they can't get the rotors zinc washed/plated fast enough to keep up. I may get a set before the GP ends just to have spares.

You could always try rockauto.com or Napa for cheap disposable rotors too.

Vincent,

Yeah we did Rob's rotors/pads on his 90 Miata last weekend. I was quite surprised to find solid rotors in the rear. Your Cavalier didn't come with ZR1 brakes from the factory either

This outfit has been in the machining business for a while but fairly new to the direct sales game. Anyway, I'll take some errors on their webpages for the prices they are offering...

Graham

Do they not offer rotors that have all of the thermal mass still attached?

It seems to depend on the car Wes. For the C5 I can get drilled, slotted, both, or blanks. I suggest you call them. I can't see why they wouldn't sell you blanks.

Yeah exactly! I only stumbled on this due to the Group Purchase on Corvette Forum. Some guys have received their sets but don't have many miles on them yet. They're getting 4 rotors cross drilled and slotted, zinc washed, with a set of Axxis Metalmaster pads and free shipping for $260. The rotors are Bendix (made in USA). So it's either the deal of the century or that company will have a lynch mob of a couple of hundred angry Vette owners after them. And if you think Scoobie owners can whine, get next to as many Corvette owners that got screwed by a vendor.

I'm going to give them a month or so and I'll get some feedback from the guys who have them. I'm just looking at blanks or slotted and no pads.

Graham

Graham,

Can you also compare the weight of the replacement rotor to the stock rotor if you get a chance? I'm curious to see if they are even close.

Thanks, Chris

It is funny they do not even list Nissan. And they do not have the Focus ZX3 rotors either.

BTW My Datsun 210 front rotors are solid not vented. Last time I bought them they were $20 from Auto Zone.
