Dan,

Not sure if you know this but Absolute Automotive in Durham has a Mustang AWD dyno. I don't have his number (Evan) but you can look him up pretty easily. Be prepared for some ribbbing if you pull over 300hp since he wanted to be the first to do that with his Audi. :) Also, bring some floppy's to get your data. He's never sent me my dyno info.

It is a real car, I even took it apart to make sure.

Thanks for the info Chris, I'll have to give them a call.

I'm in, just tell me what slot works best, I like early in the morning stuff if possible, but whatever is available. Also, if we're short on people, I can try and drum up some interest in the Mazda3 forums, there are definitely some interested people there, just didn't know if this was club only stuff or not. The wife is also considering running the new mini, I'll ask her about that tonight and have a definite answer tomorrow on it (and whether or not we need two consecutive slots), we're curious to make sure that the JCW (JOHN COOPER WORKS, for those who think JCW stands for Jim Something Wolf, hehe jk) package is making the power that it advertises. . .

If you guys have enough people, I need to bail.

(Chance to go hang out with Nuzzo Motorsports at VIR and get some time on full course.)

so, my wife really wants to dyno the mini, we've got 900 miles on the it already, and at the pace she's driving, we can easily have it to 1500 or so by next saturday (and change the oil). Anybody here have any thoughts on dynoing a car that "fresh"? I figure BMW says break-in is 1250 miles on it, we should be alright, I'm gonna change the oil on it once we get through break in and I figure we should be good right??

The car would probably be fine, but you will probably make more power when the engine is over 10K.

so whats the word on this, any idea on times/scheduling? How about numbers, any word on that? I'll need two consecutive time slots (one for my car and one for the mini), both FWD. Let me know when, where, and who to pay. . .

Adam,

I putting the list together right now with Stacy's help. Does your friend have a name and an email address I can enter into the web site or do you want me to use your name to hold the slot?

Thanks

OK, here's what I have to date. The listing is in the order of interest I received or by request. I do have some mis-matches for grouping. I'd like to have the FWD cars run later in the day since the special time requests have all been in the morning and all are RWD. I'd like to have Aaron and Carl fall back and shift the other cars accordingly by time slots. Let me know if this works for you. The list so far is....

Patrick Wellenius (9:00) rwd
steve remchak (9:20) rwd
Todd Breakey (9:40) rwd
RodneyWright (10:00) rwd
Aaron Buckley (10:20) fwd
Ryan Holton (10:40) rwd
Graham Jagger out
Mitchell Moore (11:00) rwd
David Spratte out
Chris Overcash (11:20) rwd
Carl Fisher (11:40) fwd
Ryan Kranatis (12:00) rwd
Kevin Butler (12:20) rwd
Adam Ligon for a friend (12:40) fwd
Brice Johnson 2 spots (1:00 and 1:20) fwd fwd

To answer some question that have been asked...

> Money, cash or a "good check" payable at the event.
> Food, my call on this, but no food will be available at the event. I know in the past the Z club has had food, but since this is not a THSCC sponsored event, you're on your own. We will gather up some money for those that are near lunch time and order some pizza. I think at a minimum we need to cover the lunch for the guys at CAM since they were kind enough to open up on Saturday for us. Not much available in area, so feel free to bring drinks and snacks and some extras if you want to share. If you have any thoughts on food, please let me know...
> Car prep. Have your car ready to go. There will be little time to make changes to your car while you are on the dyno. If you can make a change in less than 5 minutes, then you should be ok, but bottom line, be ready.
> once on the dyno, listen to what Jeff has to tell you and follow his instructions. You'll be glad you did and everything will run smoother.

OK, that's it for now. Post back or email me if you have any issues. I think Stacy is going to post on the Z web to see if there are any more folks interested in the dyno day.

OK, stayed "tuned"...

Rodney,

I sent you a PM on the 7th. I guess you must have not got it? Anyhow I can't make it. Shocks for the CRX came in 2 weeks later than I thought they would so I will be installing them this weekend. Sorry for the late cancellation.

Chris
