I got the dyno graph scanned so I thought I'd post it and the numbers so you can see what Jeff can do even on a stock engine.

DynoGraph

We found mine had really crappy A/F settings, especially from 4Krpm up where I need it most. Was too rich. So for $300 I got:

Basline Run:
------------
Max Power: 354.9
Max Torque: 325.0

Final Run after 3 setting adjustments:
-----------
Max Power: 366.8
Max Torque: 354.8

HP Gain: 12.1
Torque Gain: 29.8

Pretty good for a basic tune and all the other adjustments to remove skip shift, torque mgmt, set cooling fan on/off temps for primary and secondary, etc... He definetely knows what he is doing. And I was there for well over an hour on the rollers as he spent quite a bit of time reviewing after the first adjustment and wasn't happy until he got the 3rd adjustment in. Very picky and methodical. He was also quite happy with the final result.

No complaints here :D

Graham

Chris, my vette dyno'd out at 314hp at 330ft/lbs torque. Jeff said that for street purposes the factory tune is about all you can get on the stock vette. He also told me for track purposes he would detune it slightly to prevent overheat that some C-5's have exerienced. Talk to Jeff before you start looking for more HP. Assuming thats what you're after.

So with DRM brake ducts, DRM oil cooler, SS lines, Sachs shocks, modified air box, and a tune that moves me to ASP. Hmmm... I thought those were all considered "creature comforts"

Chris, Steve, Bernie,

Bernie has a good point Chris. Just go out for the dyno day and put it on the rollers and get a baseline. Jeff will give you an honest assesment of what he can and can't do before you spend money on a tune. In my case the A/F ratio was out of whack. So I got what a properly tuned LS6 should put out. Certain year LSx family engines just have crappy settings. And it varies from car to car within the same year. Bernie's number look good for the LS1. The point about setting it to be safe on the track is a good idea. Some of them run too lean and at high rpms that would be bad. In my case the engine was running too rich all the time. I was interested in getting that part covered for track. The side affect of cleaning that up was 30ft/lb of torque and 12hp.

The other nice things is he'll kill the skip shift and the annoying 1-4 shift display on the speedo, setting your cooling fan on/off temps to something sane instead of the factory ridiculous setting, disable the torque mgmt, set rev limiter higher if you want (I opted to not do that).

Btw, if one of you guys needs a CAGS I'll be taking mine out since I don't need it anymore.

I'm hoping to come down and hang out that weekend.

Graham

What's up boys and girls. Just to let you know that I called CAM this past Thursday and we are still on track for the 22nd. The fun will start at 9 in the morning. I'll be working w/ Stacy King and puting together a list of folks and times. I'm going to start placing folks in time slots based on the order of replies on the forum. I know Stacy has a web page he's used in the past, so I'll be sending a link out shortly with everyones name and time slot. If you have a time you want to run, let me know please.

If you think you can't make it, let me know. If you want to join in the fun, let me know. We need a strong 10-12 folks to make this worth Jeff's time and we can take up to 15-16 cars.

back later....

I know this is a late request, but I would really like to have an early slot. I have to take my youngest to a birthday party that afternoon. Would that be possible?

Still trying to work out the logistics of a 2 seat car and, including myself, 3 people to move aound!!

Is there any chance they are set-up for AWD or just FWD/RWD?
