You really have to run there to appreciate the nuances. With all that said, I still like running the place.

Given a sticky surface, can a high-hp RWD beat a high-hp AWD car? Sure. Heck, given equal cars, I'd pick the RWD car. With respect to STU, can a well-prepped M3 compete with an STi? My guess would be it depends on the course but on paper, I'd still give the advantage to the STi in most cases. Was that helpful? Probably not... :P

It was. It let's me know that you are a driver who is successful that likes to be challenged, and that I can't even make narrow-scoped generalizations. :D

Regardless, I found your insight to be informative. Thanks for the time and input. :D

Ps. Overall lesson learned: 'Dial in more hack'

If you all used stock camber pieces you wouldn't have any of these 'dialing in' problems :)

My STi will be on stock suspension plus front camber bolts and a few bushings here and there. Not much dialing in to do there. The Konis and gc's came off a couple of nights ago - I want to be able to play with the STi more at rallyxes; the RS is fastAR, but just isn't as much fun. Gotta do something about those big brakes next... 15" wheels won't fit over them. 8)

I hope so too. I think you both are going to be a lot closer (after 1-2 autoXes) than you think.

Still, I think the man to beat (in STU) this year is Kevin Allen. He is finally in his own STi with 'camber bolts only', so look for him to be *consistently* fast. That is IFF he can keep from 'drifting that section over there... then i just flicked it and drifted that whole element right there..." :D

Why not trade + cash to some of the WRX guys in the club? I am sure SOMEONE would not mind having some brembos.

Yeah, but I don't want the crappy WRX brakes, I want the Group N brakes (but I'm working on finding out if/how the 06 WRX brakes will work and are the same as Group N). :P

If I wanted the "crappy" WRX brakes, I could just swap the brembos with my Forester XT brakes.

I will be on the lookout unless you already have a source in mind.
