I hate working the course at autox and I must tell you about it, often.

I got away from wax a few years back and went to polymer based surface protection. It shines well and lasts must longer than wax. One trip in the rain doesn't strip it off like carnuba wax based products do.

I've been using Duragloss. First time. Wash and dry car. Use the PC No 2 cleaner to strip away oxidation and water spots. Wash and dry. Use their PBA (Polishing Bonding Agent). You do not rub hard with PBA and you do not remove it. Leave it on. Then immediately follow with FGPC polish (for fiberglass cars). No hard rubbing. Removes easily after it dries. Done. Good for about 3 months. Then just repeat but no PC No 2.

The car gets a deep shine and it lasts. Doesn't matter if you apply to a warm car surface or do it in the sunlight. In between I use their car wash concentrate.

They also have PC for metal cars and CCP for cleaning clearcoat along with a whole set of car care products.

You do not need a buffer at all. Not bad stuff and the price isn't bad.

Rather than start a new thread I added to this one.

I would like to highly recommend a product from Turtle Wax called ICE. It gives the best shine of any wax I have ever used and is also the easiest to use. I think the Boxster is actually shinier than when it was new. The best part is that you can apply it to vinyl, plastic, rubber and they don't turn white. It also does not give them that to shiny look like Armorol does.

You apply the wax with a sponge applicator that comes with the wax. Wait 5 minutes and buff with a microfiber cloth that also comes with the wax. It can be applied to a hot surface in full sun. The Turtle Wax website says that you can get an even deeper shine by applying more coats.

I don't know how long it will last because I just started using it last week.

Lately I've been using the Meguires NXT...awesome gloss and depth. The NXT is the slickest feeling stuff I've ever waxed with. If you clean good before waxing, you won't be able to leave a towel on the car, it will slide right off. Even your hand slides right off the car when you touch it!

Another recommendation for NXT here, does a good job at covering swirl marks as well, and it comes off of rubber trim more easily than typical caranubas. Its lasted two months on my wifes mini and still beads quite well. Clay is my new best friend with my wifes "British Racing Beige" mini, gets road tar off easily. I have to clay her freaking car everytime I wax it though, since it seems to pick it up so easily. . .
