i installed an Infinity Basslink integrated sub that combines a 10" sub, a 10" passive radiator, and a 250w class D amp all together in my gf's car a couple months ago. it was really built nice and solid and it sounds nice. plays really deep and clean too. id recommend it. you can get em on ebay for $175.

its no ghetto thump deluxe pimp shit, but it surprised me.

Kenwood has a similar product that one of my coworkers just put in his Tahoe. It also sounds really good.

Ok, so Absolute is only good for dyno numbers and do it yourself tuning. I guess that's better than nothing.

Some will happen over the winter and the rest will happen as I have the money. About a two year plan at this point.

Safety:

4-point Roll Bar (probably Chris Schimmel) (once I get over cutting up the car)
6-point harnesses with reinforced chassis mounts
Hans or similar device
Sparco or Corbeau seats
Fire Extinguisher

Brakes:

DRM Front Brake Duct Extensions
DRM Brake Bias Spring
DRM Stainless Steel Brake Pistons and Seals
DRM Stainless Steel Brake Lines
LGM Spindle Ducts
Carbotech Pads, some combination of XP#, with matching rotors just for track

Handling:

GM T1 Sway bars, w/poly bushings, heim-joint end links
GM 04 Z06 Sachs Shocks
GM Z06 Wheels (2nd set, got em already) for R-comps
Nitto NT 555 RII R-comps

Engine and Drivetrain:

Oil Cooler w/SS lines and AN fittings (not sure which yet)
Trans Cooler w/SS lines and AN fittings (not sure which yet)
Modified air induction (not sure which yet)

Hauling:

Delan or Reese Hitch
HF or similar Tire Trailer

Accessories:

Lucky Rabbits Foot installed under drivers seat

Well, I wasn't exactly thrilled with the RT-215s during the summer in a two driver car as they got REALLY greasy. Others say they dont have this problem -- I don't wanna get into it.

I'll get into it: buy a $10 garden sprayer and spray between runs. If I can eliminate grease on a 3200# with driver Contour on 205's, you can do it on your car, even though you drive 3 more wheels.

bump

i think i'm going to get a lightweight battery before next season. an 11lb Braille battery. its what a lot of rally guys use i guess and seems to be tried and true for a daily driver battery, even up north in the cold.

saving 37lbs at the very front might be coo

So I guess I'll be running either STU or BSP. STU will probably be a spec-STi class, and I haven't noticed too many BSP cars at our events.

Mike Whitney, what's your plan for the M3?

edit: I'll also definitely be taking the STi to VIR. :D

My 'off season' plan:

New Penkse Double Adjustable Shocks (being custom valved right now)
New custom exhaust
A third set of wheels (rain tires to be mounted on these)
A trailer
Another Alignment (4th this year)
A new set of tires

is that enough for a stock car?

Isn't that a better plan?
