can anyone tell me whether stock M3 headers will fit to my 328is E36 M52?
i assume there is some power gain to be had.

I think they're the same thing you already have. The 95's had some older style headers and putting on the newer 96+ ones was a bit of an upgrade, but it looks like everything 96+ had the same exhaust system. If you have a Bentley manual take a look at page 180-3. The online parts database at www.realoem.com lists the same part numbers for the headers on both the M3 and the 328. The 95 cars list a different part number. If you want some fancy equal length type stuff you'll have to look at custom, or possibly something from a euro car. Although, having done a header swap myself, the gain seems to be fairly minimal, so they're the kind of thing you'd probably want to save for after you've done everything else allowable in your class.
