 Post subject: Clutch went out on the ITR

While no experience with an ITR, spring failure from repeated, quick, high RPM shifts is not uncommon. Since it is an ITR, I think high RPM is a given, since you're in THSCC, I think repeated shifts is a given, that leaves only how fast you shift as a variable. Could be that only two out of three are needed.

FWIW, my 50K mile Focus clutch had one spring that was bent when it was removed.

Just an FYI, for those who don't know Rich very well, 50k on a clutch could very well be a record high number for him, and knowing the way he flogs a car- is quite impressive to me... :wink: :wink:

What? You mean that not everyone has purple scorch marks on their pressure plates?
