Alright, now I'm confused ? I've seen Dupont Tyvek as a "wrap" when used to prevent air infiltration but allow moisture to pass through a wall. I've never seen it (not to say it doesn't exist) as a sheathing product although that would seem to be counter to the point of the wrap with regards to air infiltration. It also wouldn't seem very comfortable to lie on as it offers no real resiliency, isn't water tight, etc.
What I *think* Anders is referring to is a piece of polyisocyanurate foam board insulation (about R8 per inch) with a foil barrier on one side. That would seem to work well ... just don't ignite it.

Frank - looking to upgrade the ratty carpet remnant I currently use ...

Ooops. Yes, you're exaclty right. It's the foam board insulation... mine is "R-Max". Tyvek is the thin wrap.

VERY comfy in the winter time. It feels like the floor is heated if you lie still for a minute or two.
