Ryan has a set you can borrow. AutoZone has them as free loaner tools. No need to buy them.

This ^ You can buy their loaner tool too if you like them. When I went to rent them the ones I got were brand new, so I bought them. I've used them at least 30 times since then. - AB

Ryan makes fun of me and hurts my feelings!

I have a set of cheapo ones that i've used numerous times. Never had an issue. I'd offer to loan them but back when I was younger and dumber and didn't really know what I was doing I thought the screw was too long and cut partially through it. So, I know where the cut is, and made sure to never go past that point, but certainly wouldn't want the liability of loaning these to somebody.

I have a set that look extremely similar to these ones on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/HFS-MacPherson-S ... compressor

Cast blocks with locking pins, acme thread on the screw. Very beefy and nice to use. If you want to get them from a B&M store Craftsman ones are basically the same.
