Can anyone recommend a shop to do ceramic coatings on exhaust parts? Anyone good in NC? If not, Swaintech? Jet-Hot?

Start with a call to Diversified Finishers. Fellow autocross Jinx Jordan works there. I don't know if they do ceramic coatings, but Jinx will probably give the proper advice.

Is it a Jet-hot car that I've seen at our track events?

It'd be going on a Racing Beat stainless steel 4-2-1 header; it's nice to have seeing how it passes right next to where the driver's right foot goes and it's possible to melt shoes on the floor pan while on track.

Yes. I've actually called them about doing a header and it was pretty reasonable lead-time and price. I seem to remember $125ish and maybe 1-2 weeks?

There is a place in Raleigh: http://www.carolinaceramiccoating.com/index.htm

I've never used them, but they might be worth checking out.

If you have a sandblaster, or know someone who does, then it's pretty easy to DIY. Here's a write-up with pictures that I did a few years back:

The guy who brings that '49 Chevy pickup to autocrosses had his entire exhaust system coated in and out. I just can't remember who he said did it. It looked really good and hadn't discolored even on the headers.
