Any idea where I could get a good strong pallet near RDU that would allow "attaching" a 245 lb engine/open crate? Also, what is a normal price?

I may need one for shipping the spare FF engine.

Thanks,

What are the dimensions? I have some small ones here at work that we don't really like using since we can't get as much on them. They are beefy though.

e:
They are (very) roughly 2.5' x 2.75'

The engine "frame crate" is 32" (2.7') by 22" (1.9').

Sounds good. Even fit in a Mustang trunk.

Where? When (no rush)? $$?

Thanks,

Dick

Sorry, lost track of this. Work is at 900 Main Campus Dr in Raleigh. I could also have it at my place in South Durham or bring it to a club meeting. No charge.

I have a fullsize pallet in the garage and am very close to RDU, just outside brier creek. If you're still looking.

I really appreciate the offers and responded by PM to James.

However (fingers crossed) a very serious buyer is bringing money and a large enclosed trailer this weekend. If he fits (odds are that he will) the car, engine, and parts will be his soon. I have a "likely" buyer for the lightweight open (i.e. formula car capable) trailer.

Next on the block will be our class B camper van which has new upholstery, wall coverings, sink/counter, genset, and lots of new running gear parts. This is the ideal solution as a place to hang out in during events, especially for significant others who really don't want to sit/stand around all day in the weather while you play . . . which is why Kelly bought it after sitting in a Mustang on a very hot day in Danville in 1992. :D

Car, including spare engine, is sold. No need for a pallet. Thanks for the responses.

Dick
