I need some advice ASAP please. My neighbor called me about an issue w/ the rear diff in his wife’s mustang. He’s taken it to the stealer and they say it needs rear diff axle bearings and they’d be more than happy to replace them at $900. I think that’s a bit much. I need recommendations for someone to work on some American iron. Suggestions? I need to talk to my neighbor as soon as possible so he can retrieve his car.

I don't know a thing about this place, other than the fact that they have a bunch of Mustangs around the shop all the time, and they specialize in Mustangs. And, us old guys need to stick together, so I thought I'd try to help you out....

I bet they could fix it. From what I understand they are reasonably priced, and the off-road guys swear by them.

Whitney went to East Coast Gear supply for a locking set up for the Durango, if I am not mistaken.

I can actually help here, my suggestion would be to not buy an American car, trade your current American car for a good Japanese one and bring it to Happy Japs. That is probably the best bet.

But for realsies, Crickets towing, they are basically our American counter parts. I cannot speak for their pricing but the guys are honest and the work is good quality. They are within a few city blocks of the shop and we refer to them pretty often.
