I have the new to me mazda 3 cleaned up and I'm quite impressed w/ this car, but it's in serious need of tires and shocks/struts. Since I'm going to run HS/TIR for a few years, what's the best tire to run on this camber challenged car? Also, how much tire can I stuff onto these stock 6-1/2" wide wheels and not rub anything?

Where is a good place to buy shock/struts for this car?

Think I'm going to run a set of Bilsteins on the 3 unless you talk me into some of those crappy ass yellow Koni's. I understand to adjust the Koni rears, you need to dismount the shock to set. I guess in my old age, that simply doesn't sound appealing. Given this will probably never be a truly competitive car, I'd just as soon run the bilsteins, set and forget.

Still undecided on what bar to buy. Brice has an offer on the table to test drive his car at the last event. Going to give it a spin to see how a front bar is on that car.

Rodney,

Unless you are in a hurry for TIR tires you may want to wait. I understand that there will be a lot of new/better tires available really soon that meet TIR TW.

Bilsteins ordered from e-shock, best price I could find and free shipping. Also ordering a set of Conti DWS today for some daily driver tires. Mounting those on a set of wheels I bought from Cash. Now it's time to wait and sell the mustang and see if Dick's comments about new tires has merit. Haven't seen anything mentioned in GRM yet....

I'd say similar, but opposite to Dick's comment...wait for the Star Spec Z2 and maybe the new RSX tire to come out and then get the Z1 or RS3 on sale :).
