Anyone have a brush hone that they would be willing to rent for a few days? I need to freshen the cylinder bores on my 1987 BMW 325i engine. I found a website listing the Brush Research GB3-1/2 180 grit - 240 grit brush for $28.26, but I would gladly rent someones hone for less. I'm hoping that I can remove enough rust that developed during a loooong storage period. I have no idea how many cylinders a hone is good fore before it is used up, so if they are only good for a couple of engines then maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy my own.
It is highly unlikely that I'll be building another engine in the near future and I have just about as many tools as my garage can tolerate.
