I bought 2 sets of wheels today that were advertised as fitting an E30. They are 15x7 ET 38 and 16x7.5 ET 43. Now, I know good and well that the "proper" E30 offset would be ~22-25 for the 15x7 and ~30 for the 16x7.5's, so one would need ~10-15mm spaces to run these on an E30.

So, do these sound like Mini wheels??

They're Kosei K1's and they're in really good shape.

We ran Kosei K1's in 16x7.5 +43 on our mini when it was in STX. The offset was probably a little too low on them, but pretty good.

They were Richard Casto's old wheels that he ran on his Civic before that.

Bret,
I can't speak for the Mini S, but 15x7 is too big for the Cooper. We use 15x6.5. Offset is between 40-45, I think.

Thanks for the clarification, Brice. Sorry, my mind only works in terms of "stock".

(note to self: better broaden my range somewhat, since we plan to run some STX events this year as well. Car to be determined. 8) )

Thanks for the replies and info everyone.

Seems that the seller "forgot" to mention that these would need spacers to run on an E30, so my choices are to buy proper spacers and longer lug bolts (or studs) or sell the wheels to someone who can use them.

Right now I'm leaning towards the latter option, as I was planning to run these as track wheels and I'd rather run wheels that don't require spacers.

"Hey Mini folks"

Isn't the politically correct term "Little People"?
