I don't currently use any Redline products but I have in the past and would do so again if I need that level of protection or performance. That said, much of what I think I know about oils, etc. I've learned from the Redline literature (pre www) and web site. Here is a good example:
http://www.redlineoil.com/whitePaper/18.pdf

Vincent:
I gotta check in on this one.
I've been running Mobil 1 in both Diff and Tranny for about a year. Really don't notice any difference from the standard 75W-90, but maybe you can check with me in a year or so. Remember when we both shoved for third gear at Sanford at about 7500 and hit 1st gear? Slipped right in, right? Mobil 1, man!!! No synchro problems here! Whamm! 9500 RPM!

Clicking? My 93 had the clicks from the day I bought it. Then Ol' Neal H. gave me a tip: Run 5W-50 full synthetic. Any brand (currently running Quaker State). One run up to operating temp and the ticking was GONE! Shazam!!! Never has showed it's ugly ass ever again, even after our 2nd-to-1st down shifts at Sanford.

Something to do with the heat that "frys" the oil around the lifters, maybe? The synthetic doesn't turn to varnish at high heat levels, I am told. Probably will hear clicks now that I've posted this...

I read somewhere that the main reason Mazda went to solid lifters >99 was that the dealers had too many unresolvable HL noise complaints.

So where can I get the Redline stuff locally? Even though Advance Auto is a retailer of thier products, they only stock the motor oil and aren't willing to order the other stuff for me. :?

I can order it from several places on-line, but I'd rather get it locally if possible so I could get it done this weekend.

Also Thoff carries all the redline products, and you get a discount there too.

As a side note if you are going with the MT90 I have a case here at the office.

I got Redline in the transmission and the Diff. of the Miata.
It shift much better with that than what was in the car when I bought it.
The difference is more noticeable on cold weather. :D

Of course everytime I watch Monster House I see Adam. Anyone besides Sonya and I that thinks Adam's voice sounds just like the host Steve Watson?

Carolina Mustang on Chatham St. in Cary has the cheapest Redline in the area. They stock everthing Redline makes too. T-hoff does not stock much and that gallery place is too expensive.
