Does anyone know if a LCD projector will power up if the bulb has burnt out? Mine dies at VIR and does nothing. I first thought it might have been because of the power failure but the fuses on the ps board are all fine. Thought I'd ask before spending the $$ on a new bulb.

Thanks

Ron

Ron, the ones I've worked with (Dell and InFocus) would power up with a burnt out bulb. You'd hear the fans spin at the very least.

I have an Epson, and it powered up as well when bulb was burnt. Replaced bulb and all was well.

Ours at work power up and give a red indicator light next to the word 'lamp'.
