I have 3 feet of magnet material and I want to get vinyl stickers to go acrossed it for my numbers and class. anyone know of the cheapest place to go? I want black vinyl stickers, about 12 inches for the numbers and 6 inches for the class. I don't want to cut the magnet into individual numbers because they don't stand out as well on a brown car but the black on the white magnet does the trick.

Thanks
Dale

Make 'em yourself. I'll sell you 5'x15" of black vinyl for 2 beers :) I have lots extra.

Here's a post I made on Honda-Tech about making vinyl numbers:

When I started Auto-X ing we did not have assigned numbers. I also did not have a computer and printer handy. I took another approach. I drew one 7 segment number on large poster paper. I then cut my magnetic material into strips. Then I laid the cut out 7 segment pieces onto the strips and cut them out. This was all straight cuts no curves. When I was done I had enough 7 segment numbers to put 3 digits on each side of the car with any number from 000 to 999. I also hand drew my class letters on material and cut them out. And Lastly I spray painted the cut out material a nice color with Krylon paint and it did not flake off.

PS A fair amount of beer was required to do this project. :beerbuds:

I have a computerized vinyl cutter and can cut you anything you'd like a lot cheaper than sign shops. I have all the basic colors of Vinyl, mag sheet, and heavy duty static cling film for the ferrously challenged.

Thank's Mike for the vinyl. Just recently finshed and they look good. Not as good as they could have but they stick on the car. (let's hope I don't loose them as much as I did my numbers at Laurinberg)
