So much stuff has been removed on my rally car I am now curious to see how the weight compares to the newer cars out there. Does anyone have any advice as to how to get the darn thing weighed? I read about putting a scale under each of the wheels, but don't have scale that could handle even that weight.

Thanks,

Take it to the drag strip in Rockingham for a Test n' Tune, they have scales that are free to use, at least they did many years ago.

or you can take it a truck stop or a local "feed and seed" store they all should ahve scales. Or even K and L scrap yard, or any scrap yard should scales wont be exact but a close number for you.

Right sorry, forgot. Of course he doesn't actually have to run the car at the drag strip, the scales are in the spectator area.

Michael,

I have a set of Ruggle Scales. They are not as accurate as the fancy electronic ones, but I've used them to adjust corner weights on my cars. I prefer not to loan them out, but have been known to set other cars on them for beer (I've had Anders' Subaru on them). If you're not in a hurry and you have some beer, we can probably find time to set them up at my place or yours (depending on how far away you are). Lemeno.
