boy, I hate to sound like a waxer, but what's the best way to clean glass and especially the inside front glass. I use some window shades and they seem to off gas and put a coating of crap on the inside glass within a week. What combo of stuff works best?

Stoners Glass Cleaner (no, not made by pot heads... ;-)

You can find it at Autozone and the like.

what do you use to clean w/? paper towels? newspaper? I've heard that cheap paper towels work better because they aren't coated in absorbency stuff.

I stopped using newspaper and went to microfiber towels for most things. They seem to work well. Get the initial layer of mess off with plain old paper towels.

Isopropanol window cleaner is great. I have no idea why anyone uses ammonia (Windex), it sucks. I use the clear stuff from Advance Auto all over the house. Many of the non-Windex cleaners at HD/Lowes are isopropanol based also, just read the labels (usually).

+1 on Microfiber. Get the 20-pack from Sams Club

With isopropanol and microfiber, you'll be amazed at how fast and easy it is to clean windows.

Rodney, next time you're in Target, go by the household cleaning section. Pick up a can of "Sprayway" glass cleaner. White aerosol can with a blue lid. It works every bit as well as Invisible Glass, but it's better. It stays foamier for longer, so it doesn't run down a heavily raked windshield like that on a Mustang. It smells better. And, it's cheaper.

I use two microfibers when cleaning glass, a wet one and a dry one.
