Anyone know where i can buy inexpensive plastic sheet (plexiglass, acrylic, polycarbonate, lexan, whatever)? I want to make side windows for the e30 to protect it during transport. Even scrap pieces would be fine as long as they're big enough, scratches and discoloration don't matter.

Home Depot or Lowe's have plastic and Lexan sheet. That's where I bough my Lexan to make the side and rear window on the Porsche.

Jason,

If you go to Lowe's, ask if they have any pieces in the scrap bucket first. Sometimes if a customer wants a specific size on wood or metal or whatever, the associates will put the leftover in a scrap bin in the back. You might get lucky to find a large enough piece.

just to follow up, i got a 30x60 sheet of lexan from lowes for about $33, it was just barely big enough for two e30 side windows. took about 20 min of cutting with a dremel, works like a champ. just need a few velcro straps and i'll be all set.
