First a big thanks to Jason Mauldin and especially Tom Freeman who helped me identify a fraudulent engine seller.
I thought I was going to have myself the RB26DETT twin turbo skyline engine to perform a major engine swap into my 240. After we discovered my first engine seller was fraudulent, I located another RB26 using JARCO (highly recommended for quality used engines, link below) and was still going to perform the swap and use the car for more track events. But after careful consideration, ie many bad thoughts of crumpled sheet metal where I should have used the brakes I had a change of heart. Good news.... crumpled sheet metal in autocross is less common, Bad news.... no twin turbo in my immediate future.
After my somewhat disappointed change of heart (don't worry, this was quickly overcome by my new found wealth for not having to purchase an RB26) I considered my options. SR20DET swap, RB25DET swap, KA24DE rebuild and modify. Because both the SR20 and the RB25 will put me into the SM class, a class I truly don't want to compete in (and can't afford it

) I decided to get a new KA block and prepare to DSP rules.
So what's in store for DSP 7 ?
new KA24DE block
hotshot headers
3" high flow catalytic converter
CAI
R&J exhaust
Whiteline rear sway
light weight pullies??? (suggest yes or no?)
and stickies next march.
Please offer recommendations or criticisms, I would rather learn early than find out late.
So bottom line, Look out all you BMW's ... nissan is coming
