What is the deal Mike, do you have a link to my brain? Does my wife call you and tell your our conversations? We were talking the other day and I said I would love to find an old crx for nothing and fix it up to run around in, maybe give to one of the kids, just for fun.

On the therepy issue. This is not a mental problem but rather physical manifistation of the Law of of Matter and Space. Matter will expand, by what ever means necessary to fully occupy the space it is residing in. This Law is most usually exhibited in woman's closets and sometimes involves the Law of Look How Much I saved at The Wal-Mart/ Belk/Macy/Talbot's ( these laws are very similiar and usually differ only by the neighbor hood said closet is in.

Mike, in your case you have that big garage, all those tools, and a lift that together have very strong gravitional pull on objects that are destined to fill that space. This Law also is similiar to water flow, water going the path of least resistance. A CRX on the side of the road in Cary (OMG Buffy do you see that horrid little japanese car on the way home? Have Julio pick it up and dispose of the next time he comes and trims the shrubs.) where else do you think it should go? You could no more stop this kind of thing then the moon could stop circleing the earth. Don't sweat it, just remember that you are part of the amazing world that God created. Therefore, you are doing God's work.

Any other questions?

Well head's almost off and a new valve and HG are on order...

Working on this thing with the tiny engine bay and the spaghetti vacuum wiring is definitely challenging...

Mike,
Are you going to replace all those vacuum lines that might not have been moved in years and are now brittle hard rubber? Don't break the brittle fittings if you do.

A couple of good taps with a hammer will straighten that right out.

I was actually considering it. It isn't obvious from the pics, but all 3 of those are bent. I have been wondering how far a valve can really be out of whack and still seat within the tolerances of the shaft. Probably not very much.

Heck at this point since I'm so committed on time I think I'll go ahead and have a valve job done. May not be cost effective but I like to restore things :)
