OK, based on everyones feedback, I've been trying firefox. When I installed it, I was asked if I wanted to port over cookies and favorites, to which I said yes. After the install, most everything was there and I was able to get to the THSCC forums and all my other saved links.

For whatever reason, I can no longer log into the forums using my account information in FF, but it allows me to log in just fine w/ IE. What am I missing? I don't see anything obvious about popups or such at the top of FF. What gives? It also autocorrects my login name to "rodneywright" instead of allowing me to enter "RodneyWright". Is that my issue? Is there a way to kill the autoformating?

go into the firefox prefs>security>saved passwords and delete the thscc one(s). then re-enter them on the site and tell it to save.

killed the password and reentered, but still no joy. Only brings up the default nonmenber access. Cannot get to main forum page. Option #2?

Try going into the Options>Privacy>Show Cookies and remove the thscc.com cookies. They should be replaced when you log in the first time.

many on this thread have stated to buy more memory. After some research, it looks like my 4500 is already maxed out per the Dell site. I can only run 2 512 DDR and that's what I have. I think it's time to consider a new box.

Yes it is. But keep this one. Install Ubuntu 9.10. You can use the box for surfing. It'll get Open Office and all the tools installed with the OS. So you can take a test drive in an Open Source build at no cost. In general I dislike unix.... but this is not a bad setup. FREE Rodney.

Yeah, I've played w/ ubuntu in the past. I'm running it on my server via the free version of vmware, but don't have it plugged up and running right now. Need a new KVM switch to get all my toys synched back up again.

Speaking of that, I've a pro series compaq 8 port KVM with cables I bought from work if any one is interested. You swap in-between pc's via the print key. This is an older unit that runs ps2 only, no USB. Make me an offer....
