I skimmed a few pages of those threads and I can't believe people are being so hard on the guy. Tire shops turned him away, and welded attachments didn't work. I think the guy a good job.

Obviously h-t is full of "armchair mechanics" these days. Work on cars long enough and a person will pull all KINDS of crap-tastic things to get a job done.

It is kind of sad that they give him such a hard time. Especially as he seems to be taking it so well vs. fighting back and making it worse. As mechanically inclined as I think I am, I am still afraid I will be that guy someday.
