digging up this old thread.....

I have a chance to buy a Tag watch and it looks something like this....

http://www.worldofwatches.com/segf/TagH ... 0550.html#

The one I'm looking at is a slightly older build, circa 2000, and doesn't have the LINK text nor does it have the red sweep hand. It does have the reg/green TAG logo instead of the white on black as this picture shows.

Anyone know of any websites or how I might validate the price of the watch? He's asking a few coins for this one. I do trust the buyer, known him for years.

Go to NYC and walk up the street. You will see a guy selling one for $25 that looks just like it. (Except it may say "TOG Hoeur"

Since I brought this thread up I thought I would use it as an opportunity to confess my latest lapse in judgement. It happened back in April, involved a lot of wine, a Greek cruise, two beautiful women (one being my wife and one being a tall blonde Romanian).

ignore Steve, he's already 9 deep in a 12 pack again and wouldn't know a nice looking watch even if he was wearing it. You bought a nice time piece. I have one similar to it. Interesting design on start/stop buttons and the angle.

I'm with Rodney on this one...Sorry Steve.

Cline- I'm not usually one for rectangular watches, but I like that one a lot. Graceful and classy.

If Steve-McQueen is your inspiration, I'd recommend a Mustang over a watch. :D

1. Watch is cheaper

2. I like this better, especially if a young Jaqualline Bissett is driving:

I love that style of watch, and so picked up one that looks just like that for $79.95 :-) It tells time and everything.

Silly Michael...thinking a watch should be used to, like, keep time or something. :P Next you'll be telling us you bought an iPhone to make phone calls.
