This is wrong on so many levels.

I wish my father was around so I could show it to him. Dad once dismissed a Ferrari Daytona that Peter Krause had parked on the sidewalk in front O'Briant Motors in Durham as "just an old Fiat".

I think the last line sums it up.

"Blame the lawyers"

(apologies in advance to any lawyers who might be offended..........not really.)

Don't blame the lawyers in this case. This is blatant greed by "rich guys". Blame capitalism and a "game" because that is all it is. See a potential profit opportunity if you can sucker the jury of naive average citizens so that the "rich" insurance companies of the businesses involved will transfer money as payouts. Blame the (possibly) rich guys who see a profit opportunity and look for vulture lawyers willing to take the risk that the lawsuit will pay off (if contingency) or the rich guy willing to pay the legal fees on the hope that it will pay off.

Edit to add: Any business that routinely deals with high end cars like these knows the nature/species of their customers. Swim with sharks, expect to get eaten. Not all high end car owners are "nice guys" in their business dealings.
