For anyone looking at cars, I bought a 60-day "unlimited" subscription from AutoCheck.com, which is Experian's version of CarFax. I put quotes around unlimited because they say if you do more than 25 checks during the 60 day period you must be a dealer, and therefore subject to blah blah blah.

Anyway, my subscription ends on 11/17/09, and I have 7 checks left.

Let me know any VINs you want checked and your email, and I'll forward you the reports.

how much did the one month subscription run you, and how do you like autocheck compared to carfax? i've been looking at alternatives to car fax because its gotten so damned expensive. if you have a couple of extra vins you can run on the last day or two i wouldnt mind having you run some of my cars to see exactly this company compare to the carfax's i've run on my cars previously.

It was $30 for 60 days "unlimited" use ("unlimited" in quotes, as mentioned in the OP). I don't think I've ever seen a Carfax report so I can't compare, but these seem decent. There's more stuff I'd like to see, like details of accidents or other "problem" areas, but that info may just not be available. I don't mind running 1 for you, or I can email you one I've run already if you just want to see how they look.
