Yes please, Rebecca and I are looking at P5s and the yellow ones look real good.

Of course, I have to sell at least one if not three cars before I can buy another one.

And to sell them, I have to actually advertise that they are for sale.

Maybe Carl would like a yellow Mustang.

If he's gonna buy a Mustang, he should buy Kevin's, which brings the awesome.

Hey guys, I am actually shopping for a similar car for Kendra's daily driver -- Protege5, SVT ZX5, Matrix XRS, Vibe GT. Just has to be a small 5-door hatch. Not sure about auto or 5-speed at this point (Kendra wants an auto for a DD so she has a hand free to reach back and smack the kids when needed)

Todd and Carl, you want to go in on a Carfax subscription? I'll pay for it and give you guys my ID and password for 1/3 of the cost.

Lemme know. Also pass on anything interesting you find!

has anyone mentioned a pt cruiser? smallish, four cyl, five door, can be had with a manual trans, and certainly inexpensive.

don't forget about the esses - scion xa or xb? suzuki aerio? subaru forester?

Geez Todd, you're not only hijacking my thread, you're taking my RIDE!

Thanks Marty, I would be interested. :)

I went ahead and got the CarCheck 60-day unlimited* history report- it was only $30, so not too bad.

*Doing more than 25 checks apparently flags you as a commercial user, which is prohibited and subject to blah blah blah...

Sorry about that Carl. You did see the second half of my post right, I am no where near ready to buy one. Rebecca told me last night that I need to sell 2 cars before I can buy 1. 3 would be preferable. :shakes head:

Keep in mind, I have been passively selling my Mustang for 2 years and the Subaru for a year. I haven't even officially posted them anywhere yet. Hell, I haven't even figured what I would ask for them.

I suck at the sell cars thing. :(

Speaking of automatics in small economical cars . . . which ones "drive well" and aren't too slow? I have very limited experience with owning an auto in a small engine car . . . not good and haven't driven a rental in a looong time. It looks like all the twin clutch auto/manuals are in big bucks cars.

If you're looking for a small 5 door SUV, my wifes ford escape has been very good. Decent mileage, handles well, tows 3500lb. To date only oil and tires. No other issues at 60k miles. Her's is an 06. The changed the style in 07.

um, the OP said "fun to drive, handling is more important than power". I think that rules out small SUV's. I have fun driving our Honda Element, but not b/c it handles well. Its nowhere near as fun as my 3 though. 30+ mpg also probably rules out just about any small SUV.

Well, I went by there yesterday on the way home. The P5 isn't there and a new G8 is. So I am assuming they sold it.
