It took me about 10 minutes to setup for the wii.
If I had a desktop that was capable of running the server I would've already purchased it. The netbook works, but I don't want to load it down with this package.

Todd, the SDK is a Software Development Kit that will allow third-parties to make apps to run on the Roku.

The forum members at the roku forums suspect that this will allow someone to develop a "media player" application to play local media files. The developers haven't released any information one way or the other about that.

For more reading on it, search for SDK here: http://forums.roku.com/viewforum.php?f=28

sort of on-topic...i recently picked up a via epia system with the intention of using it for my mythtv backend. unfortunately the latest builds of myth only support the i686 arch and the via cpu is i586 so it won't work for me. bummer.

it's a totally silent system with zero moving parts (until you add a hard drive, or get a ide-cf adapter and run it from flash, or pxe boot it). would make an excellent toy for building a home theater pc, comes in a slick little black aluminum case. absolutely no noise when you hit the power button, after ten years of working with non-silent computers it freaks me out just a little bit. asking $35 for it, includes the DC power brick, 250gb hard drive (no guarantees on how well it works) and a 512mb stick of ram.

Jason - I'll take this off your hands for $35.
