Someone asked me at the last meeting what tool I used to shrink my photo's. The tool is Fotosizer http://www.fotosizer.com/

Im sure there are better and worse programs... its just a program I found in all of a few minutes.

enjoy the tool whoever asked (terribly sorry about not remembering... my memory is usually shot 9x out of 10)

maybe... maybe not... but I am *nix frindly. the issue I end up having is the camera software is windows based. my games are windows based... oh, and my work computer is windows based. I might try and build a mythtv box... some day... eventually...

I deffiently do my better work on *nix systems... if its windows... I just fdisk it and call it a day

Gimp. It's from GNU so it's free to use. Works on Windows, Linux, MacOSx. Quite powerful for a free tool.

For shrinking photos in large quantities, I use a nice little piece of freeware -Multiple Image Resizer .NET

It's a great way to make a bunch of thumbnails out of hundreds of photos.
