I have some good pics too of our blown up engine from the spring race but can't figure out how to get them put into the post. Must need some magic decoder ring or something...

Do you have the pics hosted on a website somewhere? If not just e-mail them to me and I'll post them up for you.

Sent you some pics to post. Engine had 2 failed rods bearings. The lower half of the piston broke into little pieces and plugged up the oil pick up. The rod and wrist pin were still going up and down the cylinder wall. This engine was still running when I pulled it apart, albeit not very well.

Better than building a rusty and clapped out BMW

BTW- Our isnt rusty, its beat all to hell but it aint rusty.

Our Rustoleum paint job covered all the rust!

You aren't talking about the BMW that WON the Spring race are you?

Remchak changed the front brake pads and rotors on Dieter by HIMSELF yesterday. When we first started working on Dieter Steve struggled to remember that counter clockwise was the right direction to remove lug nuts.

He even has a brake changing tool box. Kendt said he didn't know Dave would fit in a tool box!

Maybe Kendt will post up the photos of the new Dalmation.

FYI Rustoleum paint really sucks when it come to putting on vinyl. It just won't stick. The paint roller texture might have something to do with it too. We may lose all the vinyl on the first hot lap.

OK, I don't care who you are- that's some funny stuff right there......

:D

Just be sure to take it slow and easy for the first day, that'll give those graphics some time to "set" and by Sunday they should be just fine- then you can start doing hot laps........

bad news Walter. when we got to the shop this morning all the decals were in a pile on the floor.

belts are in, brakes are bedded, and theme work is progressing nicely.

note to self... line up in front of the dog so we don't get caught in the vinyl vortex that may ensure during those first few laps.
