Well, the problem child has been found. I would have never found this if it wasn't for my neighbor simply grabbing a wire and moving it. The truck died instantly after we got it running. All along its been a bad wire in a connector going to the coil. It was a wire that was always getting bumped as we messed w/ other items in the same area.

If you push the wire down, kills the truck every time. Hold the wire up, and it runs like a charm. Now I get to split the wire casing and see if I can solder the 2 back together. Nice to know the problem is found. Should be a simple fix. If not, I'll have to hit the wrecking yards to see if I can buy a plug.

Rodney is that on the coil pack sub harness that's right on top of the engine, or is it in the main harness?

The coil pack harnesses are fairly cheap and it might be easier to just buy a used one off of ebay. I've seen them go for $30-$50 for both of them.

Also, if you find the problem is in a connector, this site might help you out.

Nice to know I have these options!! Thanks Jason!! Think I'm going to try to repair first. If that fails, I'll drop back and punt....
