So as you are aware from Ron's post, Tarheel BMWCCA is running Street Survival at Sanford on Sat, June 6. I will be designing / setting up the courses and handling logistics.

So we NEED SOME VOLUNTEERS for help!

Please reply here if you are willing to do any of the following:

1. Setup on Friday June 5 from about 3-7pm
2. Event help Sat June 6 from appx 9am-?
3. Instructor

We will need about 4 people on Friday (prefer people with prior setup day experience), and about 8-12+ on Saturday to help in the morning with wristbands, help with car tech, and course workers (autocross experience required)

Instructor requirements -- several years prior experience as autocross instructor, and the patience and "life experience" needed to ride with a 16-21 year old all day and talk about driving safety :)

Let me know if you can help with 1, 2, and/or 3. Feel free to post here, IM, or email me. Please include your email address.

ALSO -- We are looking for one person to be the "Volunteer coordinator", who can help set the schedule, communicate with everyone before and after, make sure everyone is where they need to be during the day, etc. If you're interested give me a call on my mobile at 454-5445.

Thanks everyone!
Mike

I was a student at this school when I was 16. I will be glad to help out any way that I can.

I've sent a note to Brian as well. I can help w/ setup on Friday and I can work until noon, maybe 1 on Saturday. I've had some family plans pop up that I can't get out of. I asked Brian to use me where he needs me on Saturday.

I need to learn to say no, but as it happens I'm helping to setup volunteers for Friday and Saturday. It looks like most of you have asked to instruct. I really need to know if you are instructing or would like to help with the Friday setup and helping on the course on Saturday.

Please post back as soon as you can so we can get volunteers lined up for another great street survival this weekend.

Thanks!!

Looks like I am still in town--Can be in Sanford around 4:30pm on Friday and help with setup. Can instruct or help with other work on Saturday.

Do we get to do fun runs after they are done?

Rodney, I e-mailed with Brian and am down as an instructor for Sat. If you need some course worker bees, let me know. I can post up on my Mustang club site (www.HCMCstangs.com) and might be able to get some volunteers. The sooner the better with short notice but I might be able to find some helpers. Let me know.

Looking forward to it!

I've received a list of instructors from Brian Marks, so this is the offical list of course workers for this weekend. I "think" Friday is ok, but stay tuned for needs for additional folks. My main focus is for Saturday. Right now I have the following folks available to help w/ course work.

> Colin O'Connell
> Kevin O'Connell
> Debbie O'Connell
> Alex Maier
> Frank Catena
> Rob Lupella

I need to know if you plan on working a full day or 1/2 day. If a 1/2 day, are you working in the moring or afternoon? I also need a T-shirt size for you.

You're welcome to either post back to this thread or you can reply directly to me.

Thanks all!!!

Thanks Mark. I'm really trying to get some THSCC folks lined up since they have autox experience. If I fall short, I'll get up w/ you to see if the Mustang folks can fill in the gaps. Unfortunately we're off to a slow start here, but we'll make this a successful event!!

[strike]I can do all day[/strike] -- what time does the event start and what time do you need course workers there? Is there a link to the event page with all this info?

My shirt size is XS.

EDIT 13:39 EDT: Can only do morning half.
