Maybe this is what was going on when I noticed the sound cutting out during a recent episode of How I Met your Mother?

If the big networks decide a given piece of content is acceptable to show during prime time, then I think the local station should stay out of it, and run the show as-is.

That is one welcome change here in Charlotte. I remember Fox editing shows or refusing to show them in Raleigh. There was that show "Temptation Island", a reality show in which pretty people who were all in "committed" relationships were tempted with other pretty people in the same situation. The local Fox affiliate decided not to show it and we made headline news. Pathetic.

As for not showing the Victoria Secret show, yes, that is even more pathetic. - AB

I still can't believe they pulled Danica's 'Nice Beaver' Go Daddy ad from last year's Super Bowl. It was funny as hell and not nearly as 'suggestive' as anything you can see on 'Two and a Half Men' weekday afternoon re-runs.

And it's Barry Manilow Mike. No 't' in there. And yes, I like Barry, but wouldn't prefer him over Victoria's Secret models.

It's a tough place to be trying to weigh all the desires of a diverse group. They no doubt encounter countless complaints about content from all directions (viewers & advertisers). The voices they hear most and loudest certainly do influence their decisions. They are going through tough times economically and may be even more sensitive on content taste.

No I would have remembered Laura Ingraham! I recently meet her at a Business Expo and have a picture with her beside my car. She was speaking at it and I had my car in a booth. I just thought Ann Coulter would get Steve cranked up, he wasn't the least bit impressed when I told him about Laura Ingraham.
