Can anyone help out?

Quote:
I am trying to find an ECM/engine wiring harness for a 99-02
f-body(with LS1) i think a new 02+ truck harness would work also. Anyone have a source nearby they could check. Most want 400-700 for the Harness, the ECU's i can find cheap(under $100)

You can get the harness off of ls1tech for $150, when they get posted. He can't hesitate because they go quickly. If he's doing a swap, I would suggest that he get the harness and ECU that matches the engine accessories that's he's running as closely as possible, to save himself some trouble.

There are a few sellers on ebay that sell a brand new aftermarket harness for around $300.

Also, GM has a kit that includes, the harness, the ECU and o2 sensors for somewhere around $800, brand new, IIRC.

Here's a harness for $150.

From a GTO. I don't know if that is a Drive by Wire setup or not, which would need some modification if you were using with a cable throttle body.

Oh yeah, the truck harness will work, but there will be some customizing done to adapt a manual transmission if he's using that, instead of an automatic. Also again, the primary thing to look for is the DBW vs Cable Throttle Bodies, as there is significant difference in the program between those two setups. It can work, but requires more mods to the harness, from what I understand.
