I'm thinking about heading to Charlotte for the weekend with my wife and checking out this month's Charlotte Area Cars and Coffee on Saturday morning.

Has anyone been to one of these meets? I wouldn't mind seeing a few of Pininfarina’s finest if it's going to be in the 70's. 8)

I haven't been, Matt, but the guy running it is a close friend of mine. If you've got questions, I can shoot them his way. His name is Mike, and he drives a black 1997 NSX. 180+ cars at the last one.

There's also a "Triangle Italians" meet this Saturday at Brier Creek, next to Camille's. I went last month and had a great time. Lots of exotic machinery to ogle, including a Lamborghini LM002. First, and probably last, one of those I've ever seen. There are loads of other cars there besides Italian stuff.

The Triangle Italians thing this morning was a lot of fun. I even ran into Peter Krause, Reid Allred, and some guy named Donnie. Whoever this guy is, he's got a red Cayman that was one of the stars of the morning.

Did that red Cayman still smell of venison?

Funny you mentioned this. When I was looking over the car, I couldn't help notice that there was a tuft of fur poking out from between the front bumper and the fender. I pointed it out to this Ronnie guy, but he seemed pretty sensitive about it. He told me to "get a life, waxer."

I have attended the last two Cars & Coffee in Charlotte events. Good time and LOTS and LOTS of cars from all different makes, models and countries.

Man, those fish stories get big fast!

Had fun that morning, too. There were like 10 S2K's that showed up, and out of just that few there were THREE different hard tops on display.

Yeah, they do that

Donnie, seriously, your Cayman would look pretty sweet with a set of those wheels we saw on the dark silver Boxster just down from you. Reid said he thought they were Champions, and I think I've found them:

Do eeet.
