I've put together a video from our weekend at CMP for 24 hrs of LeMons. It's an overview of the weekend that I wanted to do for the guys who went with Dieter. However, it's too long for YouTube. The saga of my adventures as a producer are sad, and basicly 2 days from my life that I'll never get back. Basicly, I reduced the length (by taking out some of the cool stuff) to just under 10 minutes. Spent lots of time doing so. However, apparently I screwed up large when saving it 'cause sometime between when we watched it and when I saved it.......it went away. I guess I'll start over with that. Meanwhile, Bernie would like for me to post the longer one if there's a place to do so. Help :!:

I have had good luck with Google Video, plus, Google Video allows for downloads if you choose to allow them. That way people can download your video and save it on their computer.

Shoot me a PM if you need any help! 8)

Gwen - try Vimeo and see what happens. I've seen people post up their HD videos there, so I'd imagine there handle some pretty large videos.

I've had luck with drop.io. You can create a "drop" and upload videos (or any other files). There is an option to secure the drop with a guest password and/or an admin password, but you can just leave it open, no password required.

The cool thing is -- it can play the videos inside the browser (better quality than YouTube, in my experience), or you can easily download them. It's a great way to share stuff.

A free drop has a limit of 100MB. If you want more than 100MB per drop, you can buy increments of 1GB. But, there is no limit to the number of free drops you can create. The best thing -- you don't have to provide any personal information; no sign up required.

Anyway... done with the sales pitch. Here's how I've used it to share videos I took at the July rallycross: http://drop.io/thsccrallyx.
