Some of you may have known that Jen's grandmother was in the hospital on life support not to long ago. Well, they took her off of life support Thursday morning as it's been two weeks and she showed signs of improvements (plus tracia damage happens when you have a tube shoved down your throat for too long). So the doctors and the family agreed that she should come off. She never wanted to be a vegitable, but they didn't want to be cruel about it either and were hoping for a turn in her condition so they could feel better about taking her off. Last weekend showed very good signs so they waited it out to see how she would react. Everything was good and the decision was made to pull the plug.
Thursday night Jen stayed at the hospital with her and her blood pressure dropped to 90 over something, but then went back up Friday morning to her typical, as of late, 140 over something. She also showed even more signs of improvement which was very encouraging. All day yesterday was good, she was responsive, but still couldn't communicate. Last night Jen's sister stayed with her and this morning around 6 she passed away. Jen called me at 6:15ish and told me that I would be coming up after all, she just didn't know when. So, I'll be leaving soon for a trip that I don't want to take this time.
Not sure how long I'll be up there, probably only for half the week, but it means that I won't be going to Danville this upcoming weekend because I have work that needed to be done tomorrow that I have to put off now. Plus I'll have to be a little more local for Jen to help out with some of what she takes care of here at the house.
I'll see everyone around soon. Take care and drive safe on track.
